DCL General Copyright and Usage Statement The image, video, and audio files in this database may be copyright protected under the Copyright Law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) and should be used for educational purposes only.* Modifying, copying, printing, downloading, broadcasting, or duplicating the images for any other purpose is strictly prohibited. These educational uses include projecting slides or digital images in the traditional face-to-face classroom, creating class review websites that are accessible only to enrolled class members, and as thumbnail images in the collection database. The DCL does not reproduce, or allow to be reproduced, images in any print media, nor use them in any electronic or broadcast media except for the express educational uses described above. Some of the collections may be restricted to course enrolled students only. The DCL does not collect any fees or receive remuneration of any kind for use of collection images. The DCL does not authorize any person or group to duplicate collection images. Source information is collected and managed, and the copyright holder is acknowledged for all collection images. Metropolitan Design Center, College of Design The <a href="http://www.designcenter.umn.edu/">Metropolitan Design Center</a> welcomes use of their images and grants limited permission for their use without request; except for publication with circulation over 1,000 copies, publications that include over six images, and uses where royalties are received, and for such uses, we ask that our office be contacted for permission terms. Please email the <a href= "mailto:imgbank@umn.edu" >Design Center</a>. In general, we will gladly grant it. Please include the digital id(s) of the image(s) you would like to use with your request. All uses of Metropolitan Design Center images must include a credit placed on the same page as the image. "©Regents of the University of Minnesota. Used with the permission of the Metropolitan Design Center." For images in the Special Collections whose copyright is held by others use: "©[name of copyright holder]. Used with permission."
